This is the third session of the Metadata series. First, let’s study the Aspect Ratio. Aspect Ratio means the ratio of the screen. However, the ratio of the screen is a different concept from Frame Size that we learned before. While the Frame Size is the length of the width and height, the Aspect Ratio is the ratio of the width and height based on the size determined by the Frame Size.

Today, we would like to talk to you about **Frame rate **(Framerate, Frame-rate), one of the factors making up a video, and it has always been used when we are shooting, encoding, streaming, or even playing. Frame-rate is a word combining two words — frame and speed.

What are Property and Asset?

Everyone has a rough idea of the media asset. But it’s hard to tell precisely, “Hey! listen carefully, and the media asset is this!” This is applied to me as well. So, before talking about media assets, we should know the general concept of property and assets first.

When you watch a live broadcast on the Internet, it usually takes 6 to 20 seconds to view the scenes delivered by the streamer. Even if you send a chat message now to the streamer, you can’t see the streamer’s response unless 6 to 20 seconds have elapsed. Therefore, you should keep watching for 6 to 20 seconds after sending a chat message so that you can communicate with the streamer. The chat message is in text format, sending it immediately, but the streamer responds with a video stream, so it takes 6 to 20 seconds to reach you. This situation is called Latency.
